Tia the Tea Time Faery created for the Kids Choice Awards Gift Lounge!

Tia the Tea Faery Parody was so fun to create! We, meaning she and I, did not have as many wardrobe clashes as I did with Orchid the Firework Faery. I have a Pictorial Archive of Victorian Fashions book (and it gives permission to use all templates for everything) full of dresses, hats and the like so I looked through that and picked parts of outfits from here and there that I felt expressed who she is and also to look close to The Mad Hatter's outfit without doing infringing.

I already had her in mind for a parody piece of Alice in Wonderland, to send to the Kids Choice Awards Gift Lounge, and then I looked at their site to read who the Kids had nominated this year, and was happily surprised to see that Alice in Wonderland was one of the movies, and also Katy Perry was nominated for favorite song "California Gurl" and favorite female singer, (even though I did "Firework" song for my parody for this gift lounge because it is such an inspirational piece that I LOVE!) so I thought that was pretty cool on my intuition kicking in!

I had originally created Tia as Hattie (my daughter preferred that name) and with the crazy looking eyes like Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, but then I had to fall back on my "pretty" faery eyes, which were also used in my Lady Fae Fae Parody of Lady Gaga, because the other just didn't feel right, and then changed her name to Tia.

So now I want to share my beauty, Tia the Tea Time Faery, with you!

This is my display piece for the table at the Kids Choice Awards Gift Lounge

This design is on an invitation as a mini-print, signed and numbered on the back, for the gift bags and are in matching envelopes. Here is the same front but with a little poem on the back that I wrote that you can use for a tea party invitation!

This is the matching envelope, but on the back of the ones I am using have "A Gift For You" on the back flap.

To mail your invitations to your guests, you can match up with these lovely postage stamps!

You can use these stickers as envelope seals.

This is the Collectible Trading Card that I used for the gift lounge too,but the back of mine are signed and numbered as a Limited Edition of 100, but you could use this as a profile card!

Not having a tea party but still love the design? You can also have this whimsical lovely on the magnets, Keds Shoes, and more!

Easter Bunny Hiding the Eggs

I thought this would be cute for the kids as the Easter Bunny is hiding the eggs in anticipation of children finding them! With the aide of KRW Designs, I used her free images to create this scene. All images are hers except the trees and some grass, those are my creations. I did make the rabbit’s eyes, pink nose, and mouth and then tweaked the ears making them bigger and inserted the eggs into the basket. I had such fun making this and I hope you enjoy it too!

About Orchid- My First Design For Kids Choice Awards Gift Lounge

Orchid was inspired by Katy Perry's song, "Firework", which to me is like a beautiful antham of urging you to empower yourself, letting you know that it's okay to be who you are and to believe in and love yourself. The first time I heard it I cried, I thought it so touching to the heart. In this day in age, everyone needs a "feel good" song.

In my parody illustration of the song “Firework”, Orchid, the Firework faery, is floating among the stars with her soul glowing and sending out fireworks - a symbol to love yourself for who you are and let yourself shine.

At first I had wanted to dress her in the old standard red, white and blue, because of the "fireworks" word, but she wasn't having any of that! I tried several other outfits, and she did not like those either. So finally I just let her take over, (as I often have to let my faeries do, although sometimes we do agree on things and then everything will mesh well quickly), we did agree on the hair I had suggested with purple streaks, because I also had a friend that wanted a faery with hair like that. Then she directed me to create a sassy flowing skirt in purple, with "gladiator" shoes. So she came to be both the "firework" faery and Lisa's purple faery!

I had originally wanted the typical colored fireworks, but then felt that the faery lights coming out from behind her could represent the fireworks and the big glowing stars behind her would illuminate her inner beauty of uniqueness to shine out and surround her.

I have her on 3 different designs, one is standing on the inside of a purple orchid flower, the second one she is standing on the inside of a purple and yellow orchid and the third one she is just by herself. She looks pretty on Keds Shoes, necklaces, ornaments, iPad and iPhone Speck Cases, t-shirts, stickers and whole lot of other cool and awesome products. St Patty's Day Girl Leprechauns! Also called Leprechaunettes!

St Patrick's Day is a day to wear green or you will get pinched!

I had orginally drawn the red headed Irish leprechaunette, but then I wanted a strawberry blonde and brunette. So then there were 3 leprechaunettes! They are the "Blarney Sisters" of Ireland! (Named after the famous Blarney Stone, which if you kiss it, you will get the gift of "great eloquence or skill at flattery"!) The redhead is Patti, the blonde is Lattie, and the brunette is Mattie. They are holding lucky horseshoes, shamrocks, and gold coins from their pot of gold, which they have sitting at the bottom of the lucky green horseshoe surrounded by pretty green clovers! And of course the green beer, you cannot forget about the green beer! I also have them at the end of the rainbow with a huge pot of gold!

KLeighE's Art at the Golden Globes Gift Lounge in 2011

I must admit I am very excited! This year, Hinterland Harmony Illustrations by KleighE, was honored in being asked to participate in the GBK Gift Lounge, where vendors gift their products to the nominees and presenters attending the Golden Globes Awards. The gift lounge was held in suites at “The London Hotel” in West Hollywood, California on January 14 to 15.

My art was included in gift bags that represented a wonderful group of artisans from around the world, called The IndieExhibit. The celebrities received custom created iPad cases, limited edition items, designer hand bags, candles, stationary sets, jewelry, clothing, and art on various other products. We were called an “original” kind of group as there was not another one there like us!

I am so excited about the photos I received of the celebrities holding my art! My art!!!! Can you believe it! I am so honored and thankful for this opportunity! This is a dream come true!

I was told that quite a few people really enjoyed my art and loved the detail. They received a mix of the postcards and stickers, as well as two different designs of limited edition ACEO trading cards that are numbered and signed by me, and sit inside handcrafted pockets! (See below the celeb pics!)

Here are the wonderful people that I am honored to have holding my Book of Mini-Posters, and who also took gift bags with my art and other members' art from the IndieExhibit group :

David Seidler, as the writer of "The King's Speech," he was nominated for a Golden Globe for Best Screenplay. "The King's Speech," is also nominated for 2011 Golden Globes Best Motion Picture and 2011 Oscar nominated Best Picture. Co-written works include the animated “The King and I” and “Quest for Camelot” as well as many other works.

Michael Trucco, best known for his role as Samuel T. Anders on the re-imagined show "Battlestar Galactica". He has also guest starred on “Castle”, one of my favorite shows! He is now cast as Justin Patrick on “Fairly Legal” (previously known as “Facing Kate,”) a series for television on the USA network,

Phyllis Somerville is a screen, stage and television actress.

She has recently been in Showtime‘s “The Big C” -nominated for A Golden Globe for Best Television Series- Comedy or Musical; as Connie in “Capers”; Grandma Fuller in “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” (which received thirteen Academy Award nominations),; and as Ruby in the upcoming film “Forgetting the Girl.”

Rex Lee, best known for his role as Lloyd on the hit HBO show "Entourage". He is also know for “Shades of Ray,” “Happy Crackers,” and “Target Audience 9.1.” He has been nominated three times for a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Roxanne the Rock and Roll Gothic Singer

I haven't written in awhile, as I have been "mentally" elsewhere with things in life that unfortunately take away from my creative time. My ideal world would be to not have to worry about any of that and just be able to do my art! And to take naps! I love naps! Okay.....getting back to the subject at hand, Roxanne! I have a faery named Roxanne also, but for those of you who do not particularly care for faeries I have created Roxanne as a "normal" character. Roxanne was somewhat inspired by a girl I saw singing on New Year's Eve on the televison at a party in Dallas, Texas. Roxanne is singing on a stage with her speakers and skull and bones guitar, for the background some designs have stars and some have a rock design outlined with bones and stars too. Sometimes it takes me awhile to come up with a background that I really enjoy, and although I like both I prefer the stone and bones background the best, but seeing as though I already had the stars background on zazzle, I left those designs on as well. I came up with the rock and bones background while thinking of a way to present her for the photo sculpture product without having to make her sit in an oval. I have uploaded this new design with and without wings to the Myxer wallpapers, and they should be available within a week after they are approved!

Today's interview and showcase of products is about Cherie Balowski!Cherie is such a talented artist who uses many different mediums to express herself. You can never go wrong when you purchase something from cheries_art's Store at Zazzle!

So let's take a moment to get to know her a little better, and I'll show you some of her awesome designs along the way!

K: How did you find Zazzle and how long have you been there?

C: My friend, Penny, who I met through an art group at eBay, told me about Zazzle. I've been at Zazzle since April, 2007 and loving every minute of it!

K: What is your favorite feature at Zazzle and why?

I think my favorite feature at Zazzle is being able to design inside the greeting cards. The printing is fabulous and it sure helps to make a very unique and beautiful 'keepsake' card.

K: Do you have any other stores/galleries and what are their links?

I have a shoe store named 'ToeJams',

a t-shirt gallery called 'SmartAzzTeez',

a bumper sticker store called 'Schtickemz',

a wedding gallery called 'Your Wedding Style'

and a Christmas store called 'Christmas Wreaths',

and 'Floral Art'....and I think that's it!

K: Your art is very diversified, what mediums do you use and do you have a favorite one?

I do love digital art, drawing with a graphic tablet, adding all sorts of effects using Photoshop. I also really enjoy painting, but more so on wood and terra cotta pottery, but my favorite medium is actually drawing with a pencil. Many times I'll draw something and then scan it and color it in using an art program, or just leave it black and white, for 'color me' products!

K: What is your favorite piece and why?

My favorite piece is my 'Butterflies' poster. I really love how that turned out. I purchased the poster for my daughter in law and it really turned out great! Love that Zazzle printing!

You also sell your art on things called ACEO’s, and for those who don’t know what that is, could you please explain it to us?

ACEO stands for 'Art Cards, Editions and Originals' and they are little works of art that people sell or trade (ATC=Artist Trading Cards) and collect! They are baseball trading card sized art cards, always and only 2.5" x 3.5" and can be made out of just about anything, altered art, watercolors, pencil drawings, and now, even prints. Zazzle has a business card that is the exact size for ACEOs!

These are very popular and very 'collectible' little art pieces that started over at eBay a few years ago, and they can range from a couple of dollars to hundreds of dollars in price! There is a group called A & AE (ATC & ACEO Enthusiasts) headed by Jillian Crider, just Google it and you will find our Ning group! They are super cards that you will become addicted to making and collecting.

K: What other hobbies do you have when not creating your art?

I really love to sing! I sing and record my songs at home using my digital recorder or I go over to MySpace Karaoke and sing songs, very fun! I also like to make crafts. I'm always painting on something or repurposing something like wooden signs, cupboard doors, little knick-knacks that I pick up in the thrift shops. I also like making paper mache crafts, stained glass crafts, sewing and beading jewelry. Gotta keep my hands busy!

Cute Valentine Mouse

Yesterday as I was trying to put some finishing touches on my gift lounge design, which I'll give you a hint, has a mouse on it, I was thinking, "I need to put this little mouse on some Valentine products!" As usual I'm always a little behind. So anyway, I put a pink bow on it's head and viola a little girl mouse. I had so much fun creating it. I am teaching myself how to do shadows, shading etc. And I believe it turned out pretty good and wanted to share with my friends!

Kerry Rockwood White and Her Fantabulous Designs

I wanted to find out more about Kerry Rockwood White as a person and an artist. This interview will let you know quite a bit about her, I enjoyed it immensely and I hope you will too. I’ve visited her shops, and I must say her graphic designs are eclectic and awesome! I will be sprinkling tidbits of her designs throughout this blog. So, go get you some coffee or other drink preference, sit back relax and read. Absorb yourself into the world and workings of KRW Designs!

KLE: How long have you been with Zazzle and how did you come to be here?

KRW: I believe I opened an account at Zazzle in the Summer of 2006, but I didn’t really start doing anything until that September. I found Zazzle via CafePress. I have a music website, www.rockmaven.com,(ask Raven your classic rock questions from 1956 to 1986) and had gone to CafePress to make t-shirts and bumper stickers to promote that site. I can’t remember exactly how I found out about Zazzle as an alternative, but I did, and I ended up using it for more creative reasons and never did put my rockmaven.com stuff there.

KLE: You have 12 galleries! How do you manage that many, is it difficult? Can you tell us a little about each one and what inspired you to start that store?

KRW: I don’t find it any more difficult to manage 12 galleries than 1. Yes, there are moments when I feel like it’s a pain in the butt to sign out of 1 and into another, but really, it takes seconds. It’s not a big deal.

My first off-shoot was KRW Weddings. I had built up quite a bit of wedding items in my main gallery and decided that I might do better against the competition if I could have a dedicated store to promote. I think it was the right move. It’s a very large gallery and there’s so much for future brides to go through, it would be even harder if it was all mixed in with the products at my main gallery.

I believe the next was KRW Old World. I saw some other shops using old public domain images and it was love at first site. I’ve always adored old ads, artwork, and especially crate labels. I had one hanging in the kitchen at my old house. I spent some time researching and looking for reliable, reputable sources for images and set up a new shop. Again, I felt that this type of product was best represented on its own. The nostalgic works appear, to me at least, at their best advantage surrounded by like items and not by newer designs.

Then there was KRW Name Game. I’ve never really given this gallery the time it deserves because it turned out to be a much more time consuming project than I had imagined. The idea was to make a gallery of products with various names, but done in prints and patterns, something a customer could not just do themselves with the free font tool Zazzle offers. I also offer monogrammed items. It does ok and I sell items here and there, but I’m always promising myself I’ll get back there and add new stuff, lol. Of course, there’s always a long list of new stuff waiting to be done in every shop.

KRW Holidays was an obvious next move as the amount of Christmas and Hanukkah items in my main gallery grew and grew. I love this gallery. Probably because I love Christmas and because I find one of the most rewarding things about having a shop at Zazzle is the idea that each year hundreds and hundreds of Christmas and holidays cards crisscross the country - and even the globe - that I created. That people are sending Season’s Greetings and maybe even a family photo within a design I created; and what’s more, that they are being received and enjoyed and maybe even scrap booked and kept, and I helped make them special.

KRW Baby came, like many others, because I had been building up a large quantity of designs that fit that niche. KRW Business Cards arrived with the addition of business cards to the Zazzle product line. I felt that there was a specific niche for business cards and that business people would be more likely to stay and look around if they landed on a page that was all business cards rather than one filled with t-shirts, mugs and bumper stickers.

KRW Fancy Feet, likewise, came with the addition of the Ked’s sneakers to Zazzle. I was fortunate enough to be one of the Zazzlers asked to test the beta creation tool. I took advantage of the opportunity and opened a shop and made shoes, but kept it hidden until Ked’s were released site-wide. Then, when the shoes went live, I had a shop with several designs ready to go.

KRW American Pride and KRW Irish are two more shops that just stemmed from having a lot of items in a particular category. With these two, I’d say my sales in the shops vs. my main shop (because I still have the original items in my main gallery, I never delete them), are pretty close, but who knows what they might be if I didn’t have the specialty shops?

KRW Pin Up came about because I am a fan of old pin-up art. I know some think it’s odd for a woman to be a fan of pin-up art, but if you take the time and look at some like Vargas or Evgren, they really are lovely. Mostly they are very flirty and playful. They aren’t graphic or rude or anything objectionable. At least, not to me. Unfortunately, I don’t have the skill to draw like that, so I create my pin ups digitally. I try and capture the same feeling as the classics. I don’t know that I do, but I try. I think my Seeing Spots pin up is the most successful in this. I started a separate gallery for this so I could mark items PG13 etc, and have a shop that clearly, a person might encounter items the might not want their children to see. There are items with some partial nudity, but nothing obscene.

Then, of course, back to the main gallery, KRW Designs, my eclectic, ever expanding, melting pot. You just never know what you’ll find in there! There is a little bit of each shop to be found in the main one, but that just makes sense to me. Then again, they’re my shops, so it ought to make sense to me lol!

That’s 12 galleries and over 8,000 items all together. For now, anyway.

KLE: Your digital art is most fantabulous! What software do you use, how long have you been using it, and have you had any formal instruction?

KRW: Thank you. I use Paint Shop Pro - still using old version 7. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. And I use Daz Studio to create the figures. Daz Studio is similar to Poser.

Paint Shop Pro I have been using for about 8 years. I started out using it to make sig tags for a Beatles group I ran on MSM. I’ve come a long way!

Daz Studio I’ve been using for about 3 years. It’s tough to learn, but I think most people can learn it if they are patient and stick with it. Well, not too tough. Certainly easier than Poser.

No, I have had no formal training of any kind. In fact, my schooling was in accounting!

I’m not good at drawing by hand at all! I’m terrible. If you doubt it, I had the nerve to put up a few hand drawn items in my main gallery - go take a look! Lol. But even though I don’t like them, I keep them. They are a reminder to me that we can all create, no matter what level, what kind of experience, what method. It’s all art and it’s all good.

KLE: What inspires your creativity?

KRW: Lots of things! My children, reading, movies, other Zazzlers, just my own imagination. I’m fortunate to be the type of person who was always creative in one way or another. I love to do crafts, I sew (though not lately), I write. When I was a child I would spend hours and hours drawing and writing my own stories.

I think I am probably best known for my fairies and fantasy work. Personally, I feel when someone loves to create fantasy pieces the inspiration is endless. There’s always another fairy waiting to be born. The world is full of endless colors for gowns, wings, crowns, and all manner of fae accessories. And making them on Daz is better than a 3-year-old with a deluxe Mr. Potato Head. There is no end to the possibilities of how to put them together and the mixing and matching and posing. It’s fun!

KLE: You also have a website, KRW Graphics, where anyone can download some of your art for free or purchase a subscription for even more amazing art that you have created. I don’t know a lot people who would just give away so much of their hard work. I’d like to thank you for that because I have used some and made sells with it. Do you still have contests?

KRW: Thank you - and you’re welcome! Yes, as a matter of fact, Show Me Your Creations III is due to start on January 31 and will run until April 4. People will have ample time to create whatever they like using one or more items from my site, either the free or membership area, and the winner will receive a free 6 month membership.

I am happy to share my images with people. I truly am. I get so much enjoyment out of seeing what people create with them. You might think, “Oh, a bunch of other people have come and gotten these images, what’s the point? We’ll all have the same stuff on Zazzle.” Wrong! People never cease to amaze me with what they come up with. They pair images I would never have thought to put together. They use an image in a piece in a way I could never have imagined. Each person has their own style, their own ideas and their own unique way of expressing themselves through their art. And even if they are using an image or two from my site - it’s still their art. They are making it into something all their own - and it is fabulous! (A note to those of you who do - don’t you dare let ever anyone tell you any different!)

Besides, when I first started on Zazzle, I got most of my images from a site that sold a membership, and she did offer a few items free to judge the quality before you joined. It’s only right that I give back in the same way. If I hadn’t found a way to create using someone else’s images first, I may never have known about Daz Studio and learned to create them myself.

Good Karma I guess. Not only that, but I could never use all the images I make. I tend to make a blonde, brunette, red head and African American version of most figures. Then I pick the one that I think works best in the piece I’m doing. So… the others need a home

KLE: When you are not designing for your shops, what other interests do you have?

KRW: Well, I have two glorious children, Aidan, age 11, and Julia, age 5. They keep me pretty busy. I also have my music site that I run, along with the graphics site. I love to read, watch movies, especially classic movies, and write.

KLE: How long have you been a Beatles Fan?

KRW: Oh! A long, long time. The Beatles, and Paul McCartney, inspired my love of music history and pop culture. When I was a girl, I used to listen to my older sister’s Wings Greatest Hits album all the time. One day, while in my brothers room, I noticed a poster they had on their wall. It was from The Beatles White Album. I mentioned that one of the guys looked like the guy on the Wings album. When my brother told me it was, I was floored. I was just young, like 7 or 8, but I thought when you grew up, whatever you became, that’s what you were for life. To learn that this guy was in both groups really amazed me. Then I asked my brother about The Beatles and he started playing some records for me (yes, records!) I found that I knew most of the songs, but didn’t know they had all been by the same people. I was hooked.

For years I kept a notebook and wrote down everything I learned about them. What I wouldn’t give to have that notebook now! Lol. I remember when I was 13 saving my money to buy the red greatest hits album J Good times. (which, btw, led to my flair for pop culture trivia, especially as pertains to classic rock - this the Rockmaven site.)

I still love The Beatles, and I always will. I’ve seen Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr in concert. For me, there’s nothing better.

Just a note: My older siblings are several years older than me - I’m not that old - yet. ;)

KLE: I remember you were writing a book, how is it going? Can you tell us a little about it and what inspired you to become an author?

KRW: The book is finished. Well - semi-finished. It needs editing. I’m terrible at it. But, in my defense, it’s hard to edit yourself. I’ve sent letters out to some agents etc, but put it on hold over the holidays. Have to get back to it again.

It is a vampire story. They are very “in” right now, so I thought “why not”?

My story is about a woman named Hero Fletcher (her father, an English Lit Professor, named her after a character in Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing”). She meets a man, who turns out to be a vampire, though, of course she doesn’t know it at first.

He deals in antiques and takes her with him to an auction, where he gets into a bidding war for a silver Russian snuff box. The box ends up putting Hero in danger from other vampires and super-natural creatures, as it is a part of a key that leads to a secret treasure.

The story also deals with Hero getting to know her new vampire boyfriend (Kin, who was made vampire in 1930‘s Chicago while working for Al Capone), about his world and the other super-natural creatures that inhabit the earth. I’ve tried to put my own spin on the vampire lore and the facts and myths about vampires. Well, at least as far as they apply to vampires in Hero and Kin’s world.

It’s written to be a series, each series centering on the search for an item leading to the vampire treasure.

I’ve always written. Not everything makes it onto the computer, and even less actually get finished, but I do love to write. In fact, one of my best friends is always after me to finish a story I started 5 years ago! (some day, Amy. I promise!) This is the first thing I’ve ever dared submit to agents though.

Maybe I’ll get published and then I can run a contest for the cover art!

Hi everyone!

Welcome to my blog about my friends and me. I am going to start blogging not only about my art, but about my friends at ZAZZLE and their art. I will be asking them some questions so we can get to know them and their art better, and what makes them tick. I hope you enjoy reading and looking at all of the awesome art!

My first featured artist is a friend of mine. Her name is Stacy Lynch. Stacy is an awesome person! She is a wonderful mom, photographer, and artist. She is my first featured artist on my blog.

Kirsten: How long have you been with Zazzle and how did you come to be here?

Stacy: I joined Zazzle in June, 2006 and I can't believe it's been that long. I was working on a t-shirt project with and for other Depeche Mode fans when I was inspired to do some designs of my own and starting searching for sites where I could do that. I found Zazzle and they seemed to have the best program of the places I looked at, so I joined.

K: Do you have more than one gallery at Zazzle and are the themes different, if so, what are the links?

S: I do have more than one gallery, but I have to admit I've neglected the other recently. Have to get back to is asap!

The RDWNGGRL_2 site is fun and has cute things to help raise awareness and money for Cerebral Palsy. My husband's youngest brother and sister both have CP.

K: Your gallery is very diversified and has so many awesome products with terrific designs, what inspires you?

S: I'm inspired by many different things. With photography I'm mostly inspired by nature and the things around me. Flowers, the mountains, trees, animals - I find most of my inspiration there.

As for everything else...my mind is constantly wandering and inspiration for the designs I do comes from thoughts, my friends, my family, things I hear and see - everywhere, really. I can be really interested in creating things for an upcoming holiday one minute and then get completely sidetracked and want to create something flirty and fun, the switch to something deep and meaningful. K: Just out of curiosity, what does “rdwnggrl” stand for?

S: rdwnggrl = Red Wing Girl
It comes from my longtime love of the Detroit Red Wings hockey team.

K: DO you have other POD (print on demand) sites, like at Cafepress, Printfection, etc? If so what are those links?

S: I am not at any other POD site currently.

K: Do you twitter, blog etc? What do you like to twitter and blog about?

S: I do Twitter and blog. A majority of my blogs are promotional blogs - promoting myself and my Zazzle shop, along with my friends products and shops. I do the occasional blog about something unrelated to Zazzle and those are usually for a cause I care about, or a situation going on at the time.

I used to only Tweet about Zazzle and promo stuff, but now I have gotten into actually trying to communicate with others and get to know others. I have been taught, by my husband, that you have to form a relationship with people if you want them to also check out your business side.

K: When you are not designing for your shops, what other interests do you have?

S: I love to spend time with my husband and son - getting out of the house and away from technology. I am also a music and sports junkie, so I listen to a lot of music and watch a lot of sports. I also like to be crafty, or sometimes just sit back and watch tv or a movie.

K: What do you see yourself doing, say in the next 5 to 10 years?

S: In the next 5-10 years I see myself being busy and successful with Cripple Creek BBQ, while still creating and being crafty. I also see myself being involved with whatever my son may be up to in school in those years!

K: Your Cripple Creek Barbeque has been receiving RAVE reviews! Can you tell us about it, like where is it sold and what inspired you and your husband to create and sell it?

S: My husband is a professional chef and for some time now he's been making his own BBQ sauce and spice rub. I've been telling him he needs to start selling it. Then others started to tell him too. Long story short, he finally listened, we are selling, and things are going well.

The basic message of our company is that we are a small company with a big conscience. All of our products are made naturally with no added chemicals or unnecessary ingredients. All of our packing is 100% recycled and recyclable. We believe in providing our customers with products they can feel good about using, while minimizing the impact it has on the earth.

Right now the products are available online at http://www.cripplecreekbarbeque.com or through us directly. We can also be found in a few local shops in the greater Denver area. And we've just been picked up by BBQ Pro Shop in Illinois.

K: It sounds exciting! Congrats on being successful with your Cripple Creek Barbeque, and we wish you continued success with it and with your ZAZZLE sites!

Tractors for Baby

The other day a friend of mine asked for some baby shower tractor designs to put on her site. Of course it's always got to be pink and blue! (I'm thinking of also making them in light green and light yellow. I can't make up my mind so all opinions are welcomed!) So I juggled the marbles around in my brain and came up with the idea of cute little pink and blue teddy bears, wearing t-shirts with a design of the tractor. I then decided, why stop there? I put the little pink and blue tractors on the diaper pins, the bottle and the rattles. I also just used the pink and blue tractors with balloons that have "It's A Boy!" and "It's A Girl! I had so much fun designing these and I hope you enjoy seeing them!
